TEAMLiquid StarLeague 4 Announced

The long awaited follow up to the amazing spectacle known as the TSL 3 is now announced after Team Liquid announce that TSL 4 will be around the corner and will be sponsored by Razer and Twitch.tv. All the top tier players will be there. Thorzain will be defending his TSL 3 chamionship, it was a while since TSL 3 but Thorzain has proven that he can in fact win tournaments since he just won the most recent Dreamhack. I doubt Naniwa, the previous runner up, will attend this tourney as his attendance will vary towards his results in the up coming GSL Code S. But the tourney is not until later this year so I doubt that will be a problem. Here's hoping to another successful tourney filled with grand plays like the last time.

DonRaeGu takes down MKP in MLG Spring Arena

DRG finally takes down MKP after two MLG loses to what seem to be an unbeatable Terran player. DRG takes down MKP 4-3 while battling through a difficult tourney including great players such as Parting, HuK and Heart. In the past two MLGs, MKP has been able to snag the wins off DRG defeating him in both the events.

ThorZain wins Dreamhack

Thorzain wins Dreamhack proving that ESPORTS can be romantic. Thorzain coming into this tourney is starved of a win, as his last tourney win was TSL 3, and its been a full 11 months since then. Thorzain being one of the best swede took the win for his country being the hometown hero. This feat was not easy as he had to face greta players such as Polt, Naniwa and many more . He defeated TSLPolt in the finals 3-1 after losing his first game in a very decisive manner, making the entire series a bit of a shocker. His play was well put together showing off his glorious TvT skills. Thorzain will be defending his TSL title this upcoming TSL4.

THE OSL IS BACK

The OSL is back. This is arguably the most prestigious event in ESPORTS, topping MLG, EVO and GSL. This event has created intense rivalries and rising stars. Players are taken to the mountain of success while still visiting the depths of defeat. This is the most unforgiving tournament ESPORTS has ever witnessed. Players in the likes of Jaedong, Flash, Fantasy and more are competing in glorious fashion in order to remove the crown from fantasy, whose job of defending it will be near to impossible. This is where stars are born, this is where names are remembered, this is where anything can happen, this is OSL SC: Brood War.

RACING NEWS

Maldonado on top for Williams

Being the first to put on his last set of tyres, Maldonado held back Alonso wile saving his tyres to pull of a victory for Williams in Spain, making him the fifth different race winner in five races. This race win has also been team Williams first race win since 2004, with the first Venezuelan driver to be on the podium.

McLaren MP4-27 / Ferrari F2012 nose comparison

"McLaren is the only team thus far not to choose a stepped nose for their 2012 car, with the British squad opting to keep the whole front end of their chassis lower to comply with the new regulations on nose height. In contrast, Ferrari have increased the height of the F2012's chassis to 625mm above the reference plane (RP), the maximum height permitted in the rules. The Ferrari's nose then drops quite brutally, via a step and within the required 150mm, to a height of 550mm, also specified in the regulations."

Susie Wolff joins Williams as test driver

Williams signed Susie Wolff as a development driver. As well as sampling the team’s FW34, Wolff will attend several 2012 Grands Prix while also contesting her seventh season of DTM.

“Susie is a talented, successful and highly professional racing driver who competes in one of the world’s most fiercely-contested racing series,” explained team principal Frank Williams. “Susie will join Williams as a development driver, in which capacity she will assist us with the development of our simulator and other technical challenges.

“Susie will also undertake some aerodynamic testing of the FW34 and a full track test in the coming months. Susie will also attend a number of races with us. I should add that, as Susie is married to Toto Wolff, a Director of Williams, her appointment was carefully considered and then approved by the Board, with Toto recusing himself from the process.”

BOUNTY PROGRAM

We will have a bounty hunting scoreboard here at Team Celerity. Everytime you post at the Grudge forums and challenge a fellow member, you will gain a point. Everytime you win against people who challenge you and people you challenge, you gain bounty. The way it works is, you rack up bounty as you win and the person who beats you basically gains the bounty you have in points. The bounty adds to the points he would normally gain and your bounty restarts to ZERO, while the bounty of the other person rises only once as it normally would. The winner gets the fame by getting the title Champion and will be announced every end of the month. Champions does have to start with more bounty every month. So start posting your challenges here, the more hype it gets, the more points you gain. The more "personal beef" there is between the two challengers, the more hype it gets. Don't worry though, loser gets points too if he chose to play, and would gain no points if he forfeits. Just tell me if you have any questions. You can add on any terms you want with the opponent you have, like more points, betting your points and such. Remember though, you have to be considerate of the league deficit. You cannot go around challenging other people below your league/skill level. Rivalries can also occur, the amount of points raises the more times you face a person, this goes with the "beef" thing discussed above. Happy Hunting everybody.

Remember, it only counts if the challenge is issued in the Grudge forums. You have to set a date where an admin can watch the game and witness who won.

CELERITY TEAM LEAGUE

The Team Celerity Red vs Blue inter-team battles is a squad based match with two teams of X players battling it out till it is the last player standing. The way it works is, each player participating is assigned to a team and will have to select who they think is best to be there teams captain. The team captains role is to decide on what order thier team is going play their players. Both teams should keep the order they are going to play their players secret for the element of surprising your opponents! The team captains also have a choice of using their TWO player swaps. What this enables is a switch of players after a round in the best of 3. Example: Player 1 verses Player 2, Player 1 loses game 1 in the best of 3 team captain decides to swap player 1 for player 3. How this works out score wise, is that each player is allowed two losses till they are eliminated. So by using a swap a team captain can change the flow of the match saving a player for later.
This is a two day planned event, day one well be the 'introduction' day where you get to know your team, practice with your team and enable the team captin to think of strategic ideas and the order he will pick to play his players. At the end of day one each team is required to tell the referee who there team captain is and the order that their players are being played, after this the order of the players cannot be changed! Day 2, the match day. On day two players will be placed in the orders there team captain set from 1~X starting the match with the first player of each team battling it out in a best of 3.
